Influenster #VowVoxBox Review

This post is long overdue. But if you follow me on Instagram, you've seen a few things here and there about the awesome products from the box I got this time around.

Let me start by saying: This box did not disappoint.

Pictured:
  • Tide to Go Stain Remover
  • Olay Regenerist Tone Perfecting Cream
  • Sally Hansen Nail Polish
  • EcoTools Pure Complexion Sponge
  • Pure Silk Shave Cream
Not Pictured:
  • Riley & Grey Wedding Website Voucher

Okay. So I'll just give a quick run-down of all this. Ready? Go!

I did not create a website with Riley & Grey because I already have one, so I "gifted" this to a friend who's getting married. I also have not yet opened the Olay cream because I'm a ginger and spend my summers acquiring freckles (not by choice). So. I thought it may be best to really test this stuff at the end of summer when my face is one large dark freckle.

I'm proud to say I did actually use every other thing in this box, and I LOVE every. single. thing. I am on my second can of Pure Silk because I used this one so fast. Never have I ever been so deeply in love with shaving cream. I actually stopped using it years ago because it didn't seem to be worth the money. Wrong. I just hadn't found the right one. This one keeps my legs smooth for three days before I get any stubble. Homagahhhh. So wonderful. Will definitely be using this the morning of my wedding. Duh. (Not like anyone will see my legs, but I'll know the difference.) True story: I used the #PureSilk the morning I went dress shopping, and when I put on the dress I ended up buying it felt so silky smooth against my legs. Yes please.

Look at that nasty stubble on the left. Then look at my super smooth leg on the right.
Moving on. I opened up the box as soon as I received it and when I saw the Tide I immediately put it in my purse. The next morning when I got to work I spilled coffee on my shirt and it was the end of the world. Just kidding, it wasn't. Thankfully I remembered the Tide and cleaned it all up! I was very lucky because I get to work so much earlier than everyone else, so by the time they all showed up the spot on my shirt was dry and clean. That's the only negative about this Tide to Go pen -- it leaves a huge wet mark after you use it. But it's worth it. Also, I went out to eat Mexican food last week with friends and one of them spilled salsa down the front of his white shirt. Crisis averted thanks to Tide.

The Sally Hansen nail polish took a while to grow on me (see what I did there?). The night I painted my nails I wasn't too sure about it. It seemed streaky to me, and I wasn't totally on board with the color. The next morning it seemed like the streaks had evened themselves out, and as I went through the day I got tons of compliments on the color. Definitely a polish I'd use again, but probably not often.

Last we have the EcoTools Pure Complexion Facial Sponge. I was a huge fan of EcoTools even before I knew this product existed. I pretty much only buy EcoTools brushes (and one other brand, but that's not important -- if you wanna know just ask me). I was horribly confused when I touched the sponge. Why this doesn't feel spongy at all! Even though it says very clearly on the package that it softens in water... Still. I was all, "You want me to rub this thing all over my face?" Well I did. And it's a good thing, too, because I LOVE IT AND I WILL NEVER USE ANYTHING ELSE. It really did soften in water. I'm the kind of person that has to have something scrubby to wash my face with, otherwise I don't feel like I'm getting all the dirt off. This sponge was just scrubby enough for me to feel it, but it was super smooth and didn't irritate my skin. My skin turns red so easily (and having a fiance with a beard is just awesome for that. Sorry. TMI?), but this little sponge worked wonders. I used a Mary Kay face wash (which they don't even make anymore) and put that on first, then rubbed it in with the sponge. I did use a washcloth to rinse instead of just splashing my face with water, though. I told you -- I need scrubby.

Basically, this box was not a fail.
