You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile

This idea may fall flat on its metaphorical face, but I really hope it doesn't.

Lately there has been much information all over the news about bullying. Unfortunately, as we grow up we realize that bullies are everywhere; they don't always become more mature like the rest of us. There are different bullies for different situations and sometimes they can be hard to avoid.

These bullies seem to have invaded the blogosphere, and I want to get out a message that we're not all mean. Many posts have been uploaded, words have been spoken, and people are bringing to our attention that there are bloggers who believe they are above the rest. I am not one of them. (I have a very small blog anyway, so I'm really in no position to be "elite" but that's beside the point. I can't imagine treating people that way to begin with.) I was first inspired by Brin's post, and then Whitney's post.

No one is above anyone else. Especially in the blogging world. We all have our own reasons for being here, and for some it might be an escape. Who are we to make anyone feel inferior? When you can't escape using your escape method, there is a problem.

So here it is. This is the surprise I talked about. Martha from A Southern Transplant and I are co-hosting a linkup/blog hop. I wanted to do something to show the bajillions of bloggers out there that there are TONS of us who are in this to make friends and be part of a community.

The actual link up and rules/details will be posted on Thursday, so be sure to check back and join us!

What a great idea!
I have been pretty bummed about the bullying I have heard about, and I am glad I haven't experienced any of it personally.
"When you can't escape using your escape method, there is a problem."
That is TOO true.
Thank you for doing this link up! I can't wait to participate.

I really love this idea. I tend to stay away from the drama. I don't even really let myself get bothered by it. Ignore, and move on. :)

I have found that the people who say they hate drama, but seem to always be IN drama, are bringing it upon or causing it themselves.

I kinda know that cause I kinda used to do that, years ago. I have lived and learned.

Fabulous idea. It's always a good reminder that no one is better than you, and you are better than no one. Anywhere, anytime. I'll check back later this week to learn more!

You're awesome, this is a great idea. Nobody owns the market on free expression, we all have something unique to offer!

It sucks that even in adulthood there are bullies! We must try to teach our youth how to combat them, and how to not be them! I will be checking out your link up, and I would love for you to come link up to my Tuesday Blog Hop!!
