Weekend Shenanigan

You'll notice that my title of this post is NOT plural. Really, it's because I only had one shenanigan this weekend. But it was a good one! So I'll keep the rest short. Linking up with Sami!
Friday: I sat around. All day. As usual. Erich and I did go to Bonefish Grill, which was totally exciting expect for the fact that our reservation wasn't until 9:00 and I could barely stay awake. (Grandma status.) Oh! And this is only relevant because of my Lent post, but I ordered fish (duh) and it came with a chickpea side dish which was absolutely delicious. The side dish had chopped up sausage in it. So I guess I'm really failing at this no meat thing.

We also hit up the liquor store. Finally. We've been in our apartment for almost a year and have never been fully stocked on the necessities -- or anything, for that matter. Except wine. So now we finally have the goods:  whiskey, vodka, and Skinny Girl (don't hate).

Saturday:  I honestly can't remember Saturday. I think shopping was involved. I was up at 8:30 a.m. and went to bed at 4:00 a.m. Sunday, but really it felt like 3:00 because of the time change. And I didn't even take a nap! If you know me, you know this is news-worthy.

Saturday night, or as I like to call it, the Shenanigan: Erich's sister alerted us to a midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show with a shadowcast at a theater in DC. I freaking LOVE RHPS, so the three of us went. It was my first shadowcast, but clearly not my first time seeing the movie. It was E's first for both. He was absolutely horrified. And I loved every minute of it. I think I watched his face more than I watched the movie or the cast. We danced the Time Warp in the aisles, we ate "gourmet" movie theater food, and got yelled at by the emcee (but he was just yelling in general). A good time was had by two. Hahah, obvs I can't say all. I truly thought I would fall asleep at this midnight show, you know, because of my lack of nap and all... but there was WAY too much going on to sleep. There was also this completely obnoxious guy who made up lines to yell at the movie and talked through the whole thing. I mean, I'm all for the audience participation, but really?! Alright, I'll move on before you guys start thinking I'm a freak. (Or is it too late?)

Please familiarize yourself with this movie. And the cast. Seriously.

Sunday: A gorgeous day in Alexandria. Erich and I walked around Old Town all day. Nothing really worth mentioning except that we found the best -- I'm not kidding about this -- olive oil at a tasting room. Rosemary Lavender. Let that sink in. He went for a bike ride and I made white chicken chili. Then we watched The Walking Dead. Suuuuper exciting. PS - That might have been the worst episode this season. I'm getting really bored. If nothing happens soon I'm giving up. And really, when will they get rid of Andrea? Ugh.

Alright lovelies, I'm off to pretend that I'm working. But really I'll be reading a book. Can't complain.
