When "To Do" Becomes "To Done"

Random though/question:

I make lists every day. Sometimes they are important and sometime's they're just...there. When I make a list of things I actually want to do I find they don't get done. Especially when they involve me doing some type of work around the house. But don't get me wrong... It's not that I don't get anything done -- I just only ever accomplish one or two things on my list of...a lot.

Here's my theory (which is shared by my boyfriend): I don't get anything done because when I go home at the end of the day I just want to CHILL OUT. Also, I'm never home. If I'm in my house it's probably because I'm sleeping or changing my clothes and it's likely that I'm on my way out again. So I'm thinking that because I spend so little time being a vegetable whenever I am able to vegetate I take advantage. Basically what I'm saying here is that I enjoy the occasional laziness.

Doesn't everybody?

Am I the only one who has this problem of making lists and not completing them?

Oh, one last idea. It's possible that I don't want to complete these tasks because then I would have to cross them off the list. I don't like physically crossing things off my lists because I don't like messes. My OCD tendencies conflict with each other. Oh well. What can you do? ...I guess I'll make a list of ways to fix this.

Day Two...Two Weeks Later

So plan one = FAILED. I did write a blog, but considering I said I would write every day and I haven't posted in two weeks I think it bored people to tears.

I'm working on it, okay? Sorry.

Anyway. October. It is unusually frigid outside and it all started on October 1st. It went from being near 80 degrees last week to being in the 50s. I don't like this. Although, I do have to say that fall clothes are super cute and probably my favorite. I just wish my body had more time to adjust to this!

This post is staying short, but I WILL update later! And there may be pictures of random things to come, so watch out for that!

The Beginning

Here's the plan: Write a blog. Okay, more specifically write a blog that won't bore people to tears.

The real plan: Keep myself entertained. I am going to (try to) keep up with this blog and have a different topic every week. I am open to new ideas, so if there's anyone out there who would like to contribute to my weekly theme ideas, please feel free.

Ground Rules:

  • Don't write about anything that I will laugh at in 5 years. (I did this in 10th grade. And let me just tell you that 22-year-old me thinks that 15-year-old me is HILARIOUS. And slightly obsessive.)
  • Be open. That one is pretty self-explanitory.
  • Write every day. (We'll see how that holds up.)

This list of rules will most likely be updated whenever I feel like I have a stroke of genius.

So. The actual topic of the week will start tomorrow. Here we go.

PS - This is me (but I have shorter hair now and I'm taller in person...kind of):
